Sodium dichloroisocyanurate (SDIC) also known as NaDCC or troclosene sodium, is an organic compound with the chemical formula NaC3Cl2O3. It is white powder, granules, or tablets at room temperature. SDIC chemical has a strong chlorine smell and is easily soluble in water. As an efficient bactericide, SDIC disinfectant is mainly used for disinfection of swimming pools, industrial circulating water, drinking water, sterilization, health and epidemic prevention, pulp gauze, etc. In addition, SDIC chemical can be used as an oxidizing agent and chlorinating agent.
NaDCC is one of the important varieties of chloroisooxyuric acid products. It is also an ideal upgrade product for traditional disinfection products such as sodium hypochlorite, bleaching powder and bleaching powder essence. As a very versatile disinfectant, sodium dichloroisocyanurate will quickly release hypochlorous acid (HOCl) in water, and hypochlorous acid has strong oxidizing properties and can destroy proteins on the surface of microorganisms, thus destroying various microorganism.
